GIRARD SCRIPT FONT
Had Alexander Girard & Aldo Novarese teamed up to design a typeface, Scarlet might have been the result. In his admiration of the graphic language of the 1960s, Jürgen Huber has designed this sans serif typeface with a matching script in 2015/16.
The only thing to note is that you need to set the EXR format as the screenshot format or the script will fail. And, as you probably need the actual script to try it yourself, here is the download link. Enjoy.
Adobe Fonts welcomes Arphic Types, a leading global font and technology provider dedicated to the design of multi-language typefaces and the development of font-related technologies. This addition expands the selection of Chinese fonts in your Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. Fonts that carry the abbreviation B5 in their names indicate they support the Traditional Chinese character set, and fonts with the GB abbreviation support Simplified Chinese.
The sparkling, script-like Lisbeth was built to infuse branding and packaging projects and magazines with spirit and charm. It comes with a quirky display style that livens up the page like a virtuoso jazz solo.
Argentinian type foundry Sudtipos adds three script designs to its considerable collection of fonts based on handwriting, calligraphy, and sign painting. The chubby, rounded Merengue Script looks painted rather than written. Its delicious curves and flowing flourishes evoke images of chocolate, ice cream, and pastries. A multitude of variants makes it possible to compose logos on the fly. Use it in advertising and on packaging to suggest flavor and friendliness. Gratitude Script is an elegant script offering a wealth of swirling swashes, ornaments, and catchwords. Countless alternates, ligatures, and initial and terminal variants make it possible to finesse your greetings and invitations down to the last detail. Sudestada balances between calligraphy and casual scribble, with rough outlines that emphasize its cheerful attitude. The loosely written letters jump and dance on the baseline, creating a high-spirited, fun atmosphere.
Designing a beautiful, legible typeface is hard work and takes time and patience. The type family has to convey a message clearly and effectively, regardless of the setting in which it is used. Of course, thousands of freely available fonts are out there, and some free fonts are very impressive. Yet only a few free fonts manage to beat the look and feel of a carefully designed professional typeface, one that has been painstakingly developed over years with a close attention to tiny details.
Capsa Price: $130 for 6 weightsCapsa was inspired by the work of mid-18th-century Parisian printer Claude Lamesle. It is an original design with classical flair, expert typesetting features and full, contemporary character sets. The Capsa family is an ideal book type: highly legible with beautifully fluid swash and italic styles. The Patterns and Vignettes fonts comprise a useful collection of decorative borders and ornaments. OpenType features include small caps, ligatures, alternates, old-style figures, lining figures, tabular figures, fractions, scientific inferiors, superscript, swashes, numerators, denominators and ordinals.
Paz Gallery Price: $69 for all 4 fonts.Paz, a squarish 4-weight industrial family, ranging from extreme hairline to black, is ideal for editorial headlines in which type plays a major role in the overall design. The fonts were designed by Ariel Di Lisio and digitized by Alejandro Paul.
Mrs. Eaves XL Preview Price: $95 for the regular packageThis is a revised design of the classic Mrs. Eaves, a transitional serif typeface designed by Zuzana Licko in 1996. The main distinguishing features of Mrs Eaves XL are its larger x-height, shorter ascenders and descenders and overall tighter spacing. These additional fonts expand the Mrs. Eaves family to a larger variety of uses, specifically those requiring economy of space. The larger x-height also allows a smaller point size to be used while maintaining readability. Mrs Eaves XL also has a narrow counterpart to the regular, with a set width of about 92%, which allows for even more compact uses.
